Our church is led by elected Elders who are responsible for the spiritual oversight and care of our members.
Daniel Howe
Teaching Elder - Pastor
Pastor Daniel Howe has been the Pastor of Christ RPC since our start as a mission church in 2007. Daniel graduated from SUNY Regents College after two years of independent study and two years at Geneva College in Pennsylvania. He holds a Masters of Divinity from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh. Before becoming pastor of Christ RPC in 2007 he interned at RPCNA churches in Oswego, NY and Cambridge, MA and taught for five years at Boston Trinity Academy in Hyde Park, MA. He and Esther have been married for over 20 years. They live in Warren, RI with their children.
Michael Howarth
Ruling Elder
Michael is a lifelong Rhode Islander, having grown up in North Scituate and now residing in Cumberland. He and Julie have been married for 20 years and have four daughters. Michael works in marketing as a writer and creative director and is also a student at Birmingham Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing a master’s degree in pastoral leadership.
David Robson
Ruling Elder
Dave grew up in Syracuse, NY but has lived in the Providence area for over 25 years with his wife Deryl. They have three adult children, one son-in-law, and one baby granddaughter, all of whom attend Christ RPC. Dave works at a startup medical device company in Providence. In his free time, he likes to travel, bicycle, and complete odd construction jobs (especially at the church!).
Jonathan Trexler
Ruling Elder
Jonathan grew up in LaFayette, NY and was raised in a Christian family, coming to faith at a young age. He attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Since then he has been living in the Providence area for the past 17 years, looking to serve and minister to those in need. He has been married to Kelli for 16 years and they have 4 children.
Our Deacons
Our deacons are responsible for our church budget, maintaining our church building, and our mercy ministry.
